5 apps to help you in your career job search

Want that extra help in your career and job search? Just a little holding hand? Then look no further - here are our pick of the apps available to help ease your journey back into employment:

CV Library Job Search

Find job vacancies in the industries you are looking for, save your favourite jobs for when you've got a quiet minute to apply for them, and receive job alerts before everyone else gets in on the action. Once you've found that perfect opportunity, apply with one click, through your data stored on the app.

There are lots of other job search apps - Reed, Monster, Totaljobs, Indeed, Glassdoor - but CV Library seems to have the best reviews.

When using these apps however, we would recommend applying through the company directly, as you often can’t control what your cover letter and CV are going to turn out like when they go to recruiters - they might end up like gobbledegook! - but it’s a great way to stay on top of vacancies by setting up job alerts in your chosen career or industry.

Job Interview Prep Questions

Perfect your interview by practising everything you might ever be asked! With a multitude of questions at your fingertips, you can focus on a specific category, such as leaving your old job, your performance, about you, salary and qualifications.

CV Builder

Enter your current and previous employment and everything else you need in your CV, and then create the CV of your choice using a number of different templates depending on the role you are looking to go into. The app is easy to use, and it's easy to export your CV, which will help you stand out from the competition. Great when you are not a stylistic wizard but want to act as though you are!

A community of women looking to advance their career. You can network with other members, find those with similar interests and explore opportunities to make your next career move.
