When we think of the previous year of 2017, we notice that the e-learning world brought in an abundance of exciting new trends. Most of them created foundation on how the entire world will perceive e-learning in the years to come. What we’re facing in the early days of 2018 is an online learning market making changes geared towards small screens, also known as smartphone devices. This basically means that every online learning platform is going mobile-first, making smartphones the primary method of picking up new skills and sharing knowledge.

Companies tend to invest more and more resources as e-learning management systems offer more and more efficient tutoring opportunities and tools for educating an entire workforce. Did you know that two thirds of US companies offer online professional development solutions? It’s quite understandable for IT companies to do so, but we’re seeing these shifts in pretty much every other niche, too!

This unique movement is being made just because employers wish to create employees who are better prepared for the challenges their workplace offers. The classical training sessions, which are still present these days, see companies spend a lot more resources than e-learning based training sessions, and we’re talking about money, HR and employee time, and the company also needs to hire a coach for the time being.

Of course, online learning can easily solve all those troubles, as online courses are (logically) available to everyone around the globe at any given moment. In the business world, every employee gets access to the exact same courses and resources, which provides equal learning opportunities.

This leads to the conclusion that each company investing in e-learning is able to save a lot of money, meaning that e-learning is very affordable.

Knowledge sharing platform Zeqr created an infographic that tells more on how valuable the whole e-learning is, and what we should expect in 2018. Are you ready to make traditional learning a thing of the past? Let us know your thoughts!
