Four students in blazers presenting in front of others

The popular Biotechnology programme run by Eluceo and sponsored by Green Biologics continues to flourish. This year, Eluceo extended our outreach from Hampshire to include a group of Year 10 students from Ash Manor School in Surrey. After five sessions of activities that included research on fragrance and favour molecules, and fermentation processes, etc, the students attended a site visit at Green Biologics last week. At the visit, the students presented the results of their activities to the staff, learnt about what the staff did during their working day and how they got into their careers, and explored the labs.

The students had a fabulous day. The school governor who came on the site visit with the students commented on how much of an inspiring and invaluable experience it was for the students, as they met many fantastic role models and saw how the things they were learning during their sessions were applied within a real business scenario. Eluceo is looking forward to running the same programme again with more schools later in the year.
